These are some frequently asked questions, and some frequently given answers:

: I have this band, how do we apply to play at Third Friday?
A: First check out the process on Booking Shows, second send an e-mail to thirdfriday@santa-clarita.com.

Q: What type of bands are you looking for?
A: Local Santa Clarita High School and College aged bands.

Q: I'm playing tonight; what time should I come?
A: Come around 6:00 p.m., so you know where you need to be.

Q: I'm playing tonight, where do I park?
A: Parking is available in front of the Activities Center, if that lot is full park down by the Aquatics Center (the place with the big pool).

Q: I'm playing tonight; where do I load in?
A: Load in through the back door

Q: How do I get paid?
A: Headlining band will receive 15% of the total income for the night.
Both opening bands will receive 10% each, of the total income for the night.
City of Santa Clarita will receive 65% of the total income for the night to cover logistical costs.

Q: Is there any reason that I won't get paid?
A: Yes. In the Performer contract, Performer agrees that they will assist the City in keeping the audience from moshing and engaging in violent behavior, as their percentage of the total income could be jeopardized if the show has to be canceled as a result of the above behavior.

Q: When do I get paid?
A: A check will be cut and mailed to the band on the second Thursday after the show.

Q: I am playing tonight; can my guest list be 50 people?
A: No.

Q: 30 people?
A: No.

Q: 10?
A: No.

Q: Is there a guest list?
A: No.

Q: I am playing tonight, can my girlfriend and all of her friends get in for free?
A: No.

Q: Can I bring in my own beer or liquor?
A: No.

Q: Do you sell liquor?
A: No. (Public Service Announcement - consumption of drugs or alcohol on the premises will result in notification of the authorities)

Q: Really, you don't?
A: Really, we don't.

Q: Do you sell beer?
A: No. (Public Service Announcement - consumption of drugs or alcohol on the premises will result in notification of the authorities)

Q: Will you ever sell liquor?
A: Never.

Q: Why?
A: Because a liquor license is hard to get and it is not our place to.

Q: Can I book bands for you?
A: No.

Q: So, I am from Eureka, California, and I don't know anyone in Santa Clarita, and no one knows me. Can I have a headlining spot at Third Friday?
A: No.

Q: Do you have an open mic night?
A: No.

Q: You should.
A: No.
